If you need to buy cooking oil, think about choosing:
- Sunflower oil
- Vegetable oil
- Olive oil
These are a healthier substitutes to coconut oil and animal fats like butter, ghee, suet, lard or dripping.
The same goes for spreads. If you normally use butter, try an olive or sunflower oil spread instead. Unsalted and 'light' versions are also a healthier option.Â
