We only need a very small amount of oils and spreads in our meals or snacks.
- It is useful to have healthier oils and spreads in the house
- Sunflower, rapeseed, olive or vegetable oil are healthier choices, especially if you usually use butter, ghee or coconut oil for cooking
- If you normally use butter, try an olive or sunflower oil spread instead, or try low fat spreads
You can also get oil as a spray which helps use less.
