Eating out

It is easy to think of eating out as a ‘one-off’ or special occasion, but most people in Scotland eat out at least once a week.

Opportunities to eat out, “on the go” and have food delivered are greater than ever. Most of us eat outside of our homes at some point, this could be:

  • Grabbing a meal deal for lunch
  • Having a coffee at the local café
  • Buying snacks when doing activities with children
  • Ordering a takeaway
You don’t have to make big changes, some small changes to your usual habits could make a big difference

The choices are usually less healthy than making food for yourself at home.
