In the kitchen

With busy lives and lots of things to do, it can be difficult to find the time and energy to make healthier changes.

The advice we provide is about making small manageable changes that can fit around your life
  • If you don’t normally cook from scratch, don’t worry about cooking every night straight away
  • Making healthier changes to one meal a week is better than getting frustrated and giving up if you try too much
  • Think about your week – will there be days where you will be too tired to cook or have too much on?
  • Plan for something from the freezer on those days, or cook something in advance

Think about the types of meals you and your family like to eat, we have provided tips on how to make these meals healthier.
